"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15
Conformity to the image of Christ demands the renewal of the mind by the Word of God and the practical outworking of that information in every aspect of our lives (Romans 12:2).
We understand what it's like to work, have children, and balance all of the responsibilities of life that can make committing to an indefinite, never-ending class a bit of a challenge. We also see a need to do more than accumulate a never-ending array of head-knowledge. We aim to get equipped with God's truth and then exercise that truth in our lives. When this happens, then we truly grow into the image of Christ.
To assist with this, we rotate the discipleship structures each quarter (12 weeks) of the year with the goal of engaging and equipping you for the work of the ministry as a functioning member of the body of Christ. This includes teaching blocks, practical "hands-on" ministry (like during the summer), home-based small groups (fall), and intensive, focused prayer.
For the summer rotation, we have a Sunday School study/prayer time at 9:00AM. We are learning and praying through the book of Job. Other gatherings, like our Summer Picnics are all aimed at cultivating intentional relationships with other believers where we get to put into pracitce what we learned during our instruction block. Come ready to stay after Sunday worship every week of the summer. Bring your lunch or have it delivered, bring a chair and come fellowship with us. Sign-up for our newsletter for updates on that weeks activities.
You will be encouraged and sharpened to be more like Christ.
