"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15

Conformity to the image of Christ demands the renewal of the mind by the Word of God and the practical outworking of that information in every aspect of our lives (Romans 12:2).

We understand what it's like to work, have children, and balance all of the responsibilities of life that can make committing to an indefinite, never-ending class a bit of a challenge. We also see a need to do more than accumulate a never-ending array of head-knowledge. We aim to get equipped with God's truth and then exercise that truth in our lives. When this happens, then we truly grow into the image of Christ.

To assist with this, we rotate the discipleship structures each quarter (12 weeks) of the year with the goal of engaging and equipping you for the work of the ministry as a functioning member of the body of Christ. This includes teaching blocks,  practical "hands-on" ministry (like during the summer), home-based small groups (fall), and intensive, focused prayer.

For the summer rotation, we have a Sunday School study/prayer time at 9:00AM. We are learning and praying through the book of Job. Other gatherings, like our Summer Picnics are all aimed at cultivating intentional relationships with other believers where we get to put into pracitce what we learned during our instruction block. Come ready to stay after Sunday worship every week of the summer. Bring your lunch or have it delivered, bring a chair and come fellowship with us. Sign-up for our newsletter for updates on that weeks activities.

You will be encouraged and sharpened to be more like Christ.

KBC Foundations

Teacher: Pastor Randy Pauley

Due to COVID-19, this class is cancelled through April.

What does every member or potential member need to know at KBC? This class is aimed at answering that question BEFORE you join or even if it’s been a while. In this series you will get a brief overview of the History of KBC, what it means to be a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, an introduction to the doctrines of our church, and discuss various elements of the church covenant. This course is part of the new member orientation at Kahului Baptist Church and must be completed prior to joining the church. For those who are already members and never went through an orientation with Pastor Randy or think a refresher would be profitable, you may also find great value in this course as well. It will run in an ongoing cyclical basis and you can jump in at anytime.

Children's Choir & Catechism

Teachers: Mike Hennegan & Kelly McCready

Due to COVID-19, this class is cancelled through April.

(Four years old & up)

This is an opportunity to teach children through song and instruction. We shouldn't underestimate the cumulative value of sowing God's truth into our children through various forms. This class has the goal of integrating and valuing our children in the larger life of the congregation as they periodically lead the church in corporate worship on a Sunday morning. In addition, it provides families a platform for instruction and family worship throughout the week via a catechism that all can benefit from. We welcome children 4 years old - high school into this class.
